在贫穷的孟加拉国，未成年少女被迫或自愿从事性交易现象依然普遍。孟加拉国很多家庭迫于生计，将自己年幼的女儿卖到妓院。这些年轻的孟加拉女孩为了养家糊口，甚至十二三岁就开始接客卖淫。许多女孩为了能尽早接客，甚至服用用来催肥牛，羊等家畜的类固醇类药物让自己“成熟”。


虽然当地法律规定，妓女的年龄必须在18岁以上，但很多从事性工作的女孩年龄都低于法律的规定，而几乎所有未成年少女都会服用这种药物。这种药非常便宜，各处都有卖的。
它能让瘦弱的女孩很快丰满起来，能很好的掩盖她们十几岁的年龄。而医生则表示，长时间服用这种药物会带来致命的危险，这种药物有可能导致心脏病，肥胖，肾衰竭及骨质疏松症。





“我幸运地成为了一名摄影师，从而能够用照片来记录弱势人们的生活，让他们不再被世人所遗忘，同时，也让我自己找到人生的目标和意义。”摄影师GMB Akash的照片展示了这些童妓令人绝望的生活：鸨母为了招揽嫖客，甚至使用为牛增肥的类固醇（Oradexon）药物催熟她们，令她们更为丰满更有吸引力，并掩饰了她们的真实年龄。



类固醇在孟加拉很容易买到，还很便宜。而这是一种用于治疗严重的关节炎、哮喘和过敏的药物，会危害健康，长期服用足以致命。不幸的是，很多女孩并没有机会选择，只能任由药物慢慢损害她们的健康。

近日，路透社摄影记者Andrew Biraj走进位于孟加拉东北部城市坦盖尔的一处贫民窟妓院，记录下里面数以百计未成年妓女的悲惨生活。

由于来这里的男性顾客付钱很少，所以女孩们被迫每天要“接待”很多客人才能维持生计。

据统计，她们每天大概要接15-20个客人，收入却只有少得可怜的10-12美元（约合人民币六七十元）。
